mbstring (multibyte)

Postby ef » 01. November 2003 05:06

How do you do.
Although XAMPP was known and installed in RedHatLinux8 yesterday, it is the thing [ like ] which cannot use a multi-byte function.

Since I am a Japanese, if a multi-byte function cannot be used, I will be troubled. How is what is necessary just to carry out, in order to use mbstring.so with the present version?

Since I cannot do German, if I answer a letter in English, I will be saved.

Dear ef!

What a coincidence! ;)

Next monday I will release a new version of XAMPP for Linux which will include PHP mulitbyte support for Japanese, Chinese (simplified + traditional), Korean and Russian.

If you're in a hurry I can give you access to the release candidate. Or you wait until monday?

Please send me an email if you want to download the release candidate.

Greetings
Oswald

[EDIT-PS: If there is someone else who would like to get the release candidate please simply email me too]

hi, Kai and KriS,

Thank you for telling about!
I appreciate very much. :)

And I used the version 1.4... A result is the great!
At least about Japanese correspondence of php, it is satisfactory (the program of the independent full-text search dealing with a multi-byte also moved satisfactory)! :D

Thank you very much, it was. this side -- I hear that it is still [ my ] selfish, and appreciate very much! :D

Please do your best from now on! From now on, I will also test and will continue using. :D
