Apache cannot use Port 80?

Postby xampp2day » 09. February 2009 00:41

1. I am working with a WAN with 2 laptops and 1 desktop.
2. I installed Xampp on both laptops.
3. One laptop says Apache cannot use Port 80 so its "service" is disabled, reconfigure?

Stop all XAMPP components and then run xampp-portcheck.exe and make sure all ports are free.

All free. Are ports dynamic?

Then XAMPP can use those ports that it requires.

I'm trying to differentiate "ports" vs "static" & "dynamic" IP addresses.

There is nothing to compare (vs).

An IP address, whether static or dynamic is a an octet of triple numbers where a port is an assigned or unassigned doorway or portal or port at an IP address and is never dynamic, it is a fixed number.
