mysql is not actived on mac os x10.5.6

i have installed XAMPP for mac os x on my laptop..at beginning...everything is ok ...but i can't write any data into datebase..
and today.. i signed the "root" account to try again..then i saw the MYSQL not actived..but i can sign in the phpmyadmin..
i tried to find some error log to show you..
but i am not sure that i found is right..
