activate mod_perl and tomcat

Postby ttw » 07. February 2009 19:01

Hi guys, I just downloaded 1.7 version.
I used installer, not 7-Zip.

I have two questions, how doI activate mod_perl and tomcat?
I went to status and they were "deactivated".

I don't know how to enable them in xampp.

Thanks.

Did you download and install the perl-addon and the tomcat-addon as per the readme for each addon?

i dl them, and installed them already
one at a time
but they are "deactivated"
i don't understand what you mean by readme?

like i first install the core xampp
then peral-add-on
then i install JDK 6 before I install tomcat
and then I install tomcat
and no error
then i went to the status... and said deactivated

The readme files I referred to are found by clicking the README link in each of the sections next to where you downloaded the addons from on the XAMPP for Windows home page - did you not see them, they are big enough???

As you have now downloaded the addons then you will find the readme-addon-perl.txt and the readme-addon-tomcat.txt files in the xampp folder.

Both those files have instructions for installing the addons correctly which you obviously have not done.

Please do read any readme files you find as that is what they are for, reading!

Please do follow simple instructions that the developers have gone to the trouble of providing for your convenience.
