Try add this to the end of your xampp\apache\conf\httpd.conf file.
Win32DisableAcceptEx
Save and restart Apache then check the log and see if that removes the above warning and replaces it with:
[notice] Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API

Check the spelling somewhere for this typo.

Investigate all ZPanel errors as you may have configuration issues.

This Topic had a similar issue that was resolved by the OP after trying various unsuccessful suggestions.

In conjunction with the above resolved topic, this link may help with file associations in Vista.

Can you paste the actual error messages please.

Did you find any other php.ini files on your PC - do a file search
start>search>All or part of a file>php.ini

Delete or rename any not in the xampp\apache\bin folder.

Are you sure that ZPanel is not interfering with your XAMPP installation?

I don't know anything about ZPanel.

It is usual to get XAMPP working before installing any scripts then you can narrow down issues to the newly installed scripts.

theres no other php.ini but here is my php.ini see if u can find any possible errors
[PHP]

;;;;;;;;;;;
; WARNING ;
;;;;;;;;;;;
; This is the default settings file for new PHP installations.
; By default, PHP installs itself with a configuration suitable for
; development purposes, and *NOT* for production purposes.
; For several security-oriented considerations that should be taken
; before going online with your site, please consult php.ini-recommended
; and http://php.net/manual/en/security.php.

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; About php.ini ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
; Under Windows, the compile-time path is the Windows directory. The
; path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
; the -c argument in command line mode.
;
; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
; they might mean something in the future.
;
; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
; directive = value
; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
;
; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
;
; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
; | bitwise OR
; & bitwise AND
; ~ bitwise NOT
; ! boolean NOT
;
; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
;
; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
; sign, or by using the None keyword:
;
; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
;
; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
;
;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; About this file ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; All the values in the php.ini-dist file correspond to the builtin
; defaults (that is, if no php.ini is used, or if you delete these lines,
; the builtin defaults will be identical).

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as

; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
; is doing.
; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!

; Transparent output compression using the zlib library
; Valid values for this option are 'off', 'on', or a specific buffer size

; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.
; Note: You need to use zlib.output_handler instead of the standard
; output_handler, or otherwise the output will be corrupted.

Can you detail your current problems as it has been over week that you have been sleeping :) and I have lost track of where we were at?

Full details please as I can't see your PC and I can't know what you have tried before or what you are doing to get your problems.

Look in the htdocs folder and see if there is an index.php file and open it in your text editor and see if it looks like this
Code: Select all
<?php
   if (!empty($_SERVER['HTTPS']) && ('on' == $_SERVER['HTTPS'])) {
      $uri = 'https://';
   } else {
      $uri = 'http://';
   }
   $uri .= $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'];
   header('Location: '.$uri.'/xampp/');
   exit;
?>
Something is wrong with the XAMPP installation :-(

Now do the same in the htdocs\xampp folder and the index.php should look like this
Code: Select all
<?
   if(file_get_contents("lang.tmp")=="")
   {
      header("Location: splash.php");
      exit();
   }
?>
<html>
<head>
<meta name="author" content="Kai Oswald Seidler">
<meta http-equiv="cache-control" content="no-cache">
<?include("lang/".file_get_contents("lang.tmp").".php"); ?>
<title>XAMPP <?include('.version');?></title>

<frameset rows="74,*" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" border="0" borderwidth="0">
    <frame name="head" src="head.php" scrolling=no>
<frameset cols="150,*" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" border="0" borderwidth="0">
    <frame name="navi" src="navi.php" scrolling=no>
    <frame name="content" src="start.php" marginwidth=20>
</frameset>
</frameset>
</head>
<body bgcolor=#ffffff>
</body>
</html>

Paste back what you see if your files are different.

Clear your browser's cache files regularly when developing at localhost level as it can be your worst enemy.

Type in your browser exactly as I have written please.
http://localhost/index.php
or
http://127.0.0.1/index.php

Also try typing in
http://localhost/xampp/index.php
or
http://127.0.0.1/xampp/index.php

Now look in the error log at the results of those address attempts above if you get an error or the cgi-bin in an otherwise empty folder.

Paste the results here but only those that relate to the above attempts not all the log file or this topic will fall of the bottom of the forum. :)

Make sure in your browser the Work Offline is not checked.

Now open apache\conf\httpd.conf file in your text editor and look for this code at about line 238 to 243 and see if it looks the same, if not paste it here.
Code: Select all
#
# DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory
# is requested.
#
<IfModule dir_module>
    DirectoryIndex index.php index.php4 index.php3 index.cgi index.pl index.html index.htm index.shtml index.phtml
</IfModule>
