MySql not staying running

Postby Aaron V » 02. January 2009 04:10

I have tried installing Zend for I knew I needed php. I then installed mysql 5.01 from mysql. I could not get them working together.
I also installed wamp.

All of these are gone now for I could not tell when something was running.
I truly like xampp for the simple fact i can see when it's running by looking in the controll panel.

Anyways apache and filezilla are running fine.

Mysql was running fine but I somehow screwed it up.
I get the Error: Mysql service not started [-1] when itry to start it.

if I go to SCM I find Mysql service.
C:/xampp/mysql/bin/mysqld-shareware.exe is the startup type.
there is no mysqld-shareware.exe in /bin

i changed mysqld.exe to mysqld-shareware.exe and the service will start for 2 sec then die down

if there is anyway to keep it started that would rock. I know how to make the databases now in localhost for wordpress,
but withought it started I cannot.

seems I have gotten it msq l to stay running by changing the service path for if it fails.
one of them hard to find things.

My wordpress install still hangs when i get to the input your blog and email page.
i have made sure iis is not running and a few other things i have forgotten.
anyone know where I can look to find an answer to get wordpress installed if it is hanging ....?

You have asked the WordPress support what's the problem?

Regarding XAMPP:
The demo pages, especially the CD demo, or phpMyAdmin is working?
