Installing mod_auth_mysql

Hello all,

I require some of your expert knowledge.

I'm trying to install the mod "mod_auth_mysql", so that i can auth through the mySQL - and not .htpasswd.

... It's so much easier to just have all the usernames/password in one database.

I've removed the comment-sign in the httpd.conf, so the apache loads the module. But found out i don't have the module . Can't seem to locate it on the web, in compiled form.

Anyone know where it is? And can help with installing it - or refering me to any tutorials (i'm happy to read anything, don't need to have everything served on a silver plate).

Yeah i noticed the thread ended, without a final solution.

Jasin has come up with a compromise for the missing mod_auth_mysql.so module in recent versions of XAMPP.
