ich nutze Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit
und habe die aktuelle Version von XAMPP heruntergeladen.
Ich habe vor 2 Monaten einen neuen Laptop bekommen
(Acer Aspire 6920G). Darauf habe ich einfach meinen unter meinem alten rechner verwendeten xampp ordner gehauen. Hat auch geklappt aber ich wollte jetzt die neue Version installieren wegen PHP5.
Ich ging so vor:
1. alten XAMPP-Ordner einfach gelöscht.
2. 1.6.8 Installer heruntergeladen und installiert ins verzeichniss (C:/virtueller Server/xampp)

Als da der mysql server nicht ging und folgende Meldung kam:
"Die Erweiterung mysql kann nicht geladen werden. Bitte überprüfen Sie Ihre PHP-Konfiguration." Habe ich den 'Server wieder deinstalliert über die uninstall.exe.

Nun habe ich das ganze auf D:/xampp installiert und es tritt der gleiche fehler auf.
5. Ich wollte wieder deinstallieren jedoch ist die uninstall.exe nicht im ordner vorhanden.
PS:
Der fehler trat nur auf wenn ich PHP5 an hatte. Hatte ich auf 4 umgestellt lief alles einwandfrei.
Auch das Controlpanel von xamp zeigte den mysql als "running" an.
Auf der localhostseite hingegen zeigte er an " MySQL-Datenbank DEAKTIVIERT "
Ich bin total verzeifelt und weiß nicht mehr weiter.
