Where's help wiki of XAMpP

Postby 144 » 15. September 2008 22:09

Hi, i agree that XAMPP is the MOST famous apache program.

But does it have a helpwiki?

Because i'm havin VERY BIG problems with it. While in use, i can only make 5-10 operations, after than all the connections are lost with the browser, firefox can not connect anything, including XAMPP console and even web pages. Also the program makes the computer crash with blue screen randomly (this happens very often, every 5 minutes)

I don't know much about XAMPP, and do not want to disturb people here. But i couldn't find a web page that can help.

Wow, that was fast :). Anyway, is there a "wiki-like help/beginnerguide" page than? no?

Thank you

The blue screen normally indicates many memory leaks. When you are working on XAMPP, try restarting your computer beforehand, not running any programs (including messengers and anything else that normally starts up and is NOT necessary for your computer to run), and then running XAMPP. Do NOT try to run anything else, especially if you have an older computer. This should help.

Thanks, does this also explain the weird browser behaviour? The browser suddenly disconnects itself from everything. It does not open Xampp or any web page. This is usually followed by a blue scr. and restart. Thank you again.

I honestly have no idea. That could be the cause, though I've never had that happen. If you're using an older computer, however, you might have some hardware issues. If you have an older one, try investing in a replacement.
