Postby MK69 » 07. September 2008 14:43

Hallo,

Ik habe Xamp installiert und keine probleme entfunden. Instal war ohne probleme
.

I guess you prefer English? So execute xampp-portcheck.exe in the xampp mainfolder, it will tell you what ports are blocked.

Same problem here and to answer your sugestion:

Apache (HTTP) 80 F:\DevHTTPd\xampp\apache\bin\apache.exe
Apache (WebDAV) 81 free
Apache (HTTPS) 443 F:\DevHTTPd\xampp\apache\bin\apache.exe
MySQL 3306 F:\DevHTTPd\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt.exe
FileZilla (FTP) 21 C:\Gene6 FTP Server\G6FTPSERVER.EXE
FileZilla (Admin) 14147 free
Mercury (SMTP) 25 free
Mercury (POP3) 110 free
Mercury (IMAP) 143 free

In the task manager both services are running

My hosts file contains
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.2.250 ftpserver

Firewall (standard Microsoft) is set to "Only this subnet" for F:\DevHTTPd\xampp\apache\bin\apache.exe, but with firewall down, still no response

There are no messages in the apache\logs\*

I used WampServer (is uninstalled) which worked fine, but switched after advice of friends.

The http.conf is unchanged by me and this is a fresh install.

Also no improvement after reboot

xampp-portcheck.exe executed:

Result

Apache (HTTP) 80 C:\xampp\apache\bin\apache.exe
Apache (WebDAV) 81 free
Apache (HTTPS) 443 C:\xampp\apache\bin\apache.exe
MySQL 3306 C:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt.exe
FileZilla (FTP) 21 c:\FileZillaFTP\FileZillaServer.exe
FileZilla (Admin) 14147 free c:\FileZillaFTP\FileZillaServer.exe
Mercury (SMTP) 25 free
Mercury (POP3) 110 free
Mercury (IMAP) 143 free

So ports are available but the result on http://localhost is still nothing !
Please help !!!

Regards,

Michel

Ok sounds great... but where in the httpd.conf do you put the statements?

I did put them somewhere in the file but now apache doesn't run.

Thanks,

Michel

Not put it somewhere, put it oustide every block. Just insert it at the end of the file, there every block should be closed.

Apache doesn't run is NOT an error message! Start the Apache with the bat-File in the xampp directory, then you get an error message.

Still nothing.....

Postby MK69 » 20. September 2008 22:26

Due to a businesstrip I wasn't able to come back to this problem.

It still doesn't work.
Ive added those lines at the end of the file but still no connection to localhost.

Do you have any more ideas on how to solve this.
I was wondering if I need to run an older software version of the apache server.. maybe that will solve the problem?

Thanks,

Michel
