Xampp Ports Blocked

Postby ClaudiuCC » 22. August 2008 05:47

Hi,

I've recently installed xampp, I'm new to localhost server thing.

So ... here's the problem .. after playing with xampp, windows asked me if I want to block/allow a program from this software; I told windows to block it and now my xampp isn't working anymore.

I went to windows firewall and this apps are allowed:
-appache http server
-mysqld
-mercury/32 core processing module v4.52
-xampp traffic (wihic I added my self with port 8080)

EDIT:
I turned off firewall and still xampp isn't working .. pff

With all this programs allowed, xampp still won't start
I also ran xampp-portcheck and windows is stelling me that this has stopped working and is trying to find a solution and no success.

Please let me know what else is left to do.

Regards

Switch off your Firewall, then doing this steps:

Start -> Run -> Enter "cmd.exe" and press OK

Now a window will pop up, type this command:

Code: Select all
netstat -ap TCP

Then post the output of this command here.
