Error when trying to start XAMPP on Ubuntu

Hello,

I have used Xampp many times before on other Linux distros and it has always worked fine.

But today when i tried to run XAMPP from an Ubuntu machine i get this error when typing/execeuting "./lampp start"

/opt/lampp/bin/mysql.server: 361: cannot open /dev/console: Permission denied

Anyone know why?

On Ubuntu, you might need to use sudo, since XAMPP needs to be started by root.
