Can't view PHP files

Postby racetiger » 10. July 2008 01:58

Hello!
I have installed XAMPP successfully on my server. I'm able to view PHP files from within my network (a 192.168.0.xxx address). There's a 200.94.19.xxx redirected to the 192.168 and works fine from within my network. The problem is, when I try to access from outside (different ISP), I can't see my PHP files, nor the XAMPP page !!
I don't know if I should configure something, but it's driving me crazy. Can anybody help?
Thanks!

Hello and welcome racetiger. I'm trying to understand your situation. Seems like it's not an XAMPP issue, but let's have a go. Some more info please.

How is the 200.94.. network "within" the 192.168.. network? Route/Gateway?

How does one access the 198.168.. network from the outside/ISP?

Hello, thanks for helping :D
The 200.94... is redirected to the 192.168... using a NAT One to one, configured in the firewall. There is a router and a switch, then comes the firewall.

Been away for a few days and just got a chance for a quick look in here.

What do you actually do from outside - type an address in a browser and what address?

You mention "ISP", so I'm trying to figure out how you think you're trying to access the XAMPP server from "outside". ie. DNS, domain name and host stuff.

Also, if you don't get the web page, what _do_ you get?
