Site doesn't work without www

I don't know why but after a year or so my site suddenly doesn't want to display with the 'www' in front of the domain.

Any help is appreciated.

One possibility is that the DNS entry for the "www" was removed. Another possibility is that a redirection rule was added that mishandles the "www".
