Top of the morning to you Milligan!

Your response is (once again) ... speedy and most informative and it's great news about the 'bug' (for me).

Been trying to mull over the puzzle you so deftly outlined.
Actually, I've been caught! I was clearing the log file and checking, but ... did Not test with the .bat files. Dohhhh!

Not that I would have clued in anyways. Bit sketchy on the laws of file-open/file-close.
Seems the CP leaves the file open and then writes over it, but what actually closes the file for the next session, XP ?
I just don't know? I must test (as you've advised) and maybe ... reach full enlightenment. : )

However, if half-enlightenment is better than none and ignorance is bliss, then I'm really a happy-camper to find a bug in my soup!
Taking your advice to heart, no reinstall right away, until I miss it!
; )

Go raibh maith agat, Siofra.
