Problem with starting xampp in linux

Hello.. I have an ASUS wl-700ge router which has a built-in hard drive with linux on it that helps me store files etc.. it is also being used as a server to host websites etc..
I downloaded the xampp for linux and installed it in the /opt directory..
however when I type /opt/lampp/lampp start.. it gives me a message saying "/opt/lampp/lampp: not found".

I don't understand why it is doing so.. I would appreciate any help you can provide.. Thanks a bunch.
