SSL Help (100% and listening port)

Postby willshire » 24. February 2008 06:58

I have read that XAMPP has SSL built in, and I was wondering if that includes everything in the htdocs folder.

-Also I want to make my domain redirectable, so if someone types in "mydomain.com" it goes to https://mydomain.com:port. Anyone know how to do that with apache settings? Right now I use a IP as my domain so there is no handler run by another company controlling redirects.

-Another question: When I try to change the SSL listening port to 3000 (from the standard 443) I get this error in Mozilla Firefox:

Code: Select all
192.168.0.2 has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error code -12263

Does anyone know how to successfully change the listening port on SSL? Because my ISP blocked incoming port 80, 443 and 23. So I need to change the listening port.

-I posted the same thing in the german area, not knowing it was german, so you can delete that post

No, you can delete that post by clicking on the X next to the Edit button before someone replies.

1. Google .htaccess redirect

2. .\xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-ssl.conf
