phpMyAdmin problem

i just installed xampp and changed the MySQL and XAMPP DIR PROTECTION password. now i can't access phpMyAdmin
because it is requiring a username and password.i do appreciate your assistance. thanks a lot!

For phpMyAdmin you use the MySQL user and password.

Enter the MySQL super user root and the password you just set in the directory protection process.

thanks izzy for the quick reply! but i also changed the username and password of mySQL now when i try to input the same values to the php MyAdmin is says access denied.

Where did you change the username of MySQL?

Where did you change the password of MySQL?

MySQL requires the super user root to function.
