port forwarding

I have made the static ip and forwarded all the ports mentioned in the XAMPP distribution.

I can ping my DynDNS address www.mydomain.homeip.net

When I try to surf to www.mydomain.homeip.net I get ...
The page cannot be displayed

Firewall is turned off.

Is their a way to check if in fact the port 80 is open with the ping?

What am I missing?
