The index.php is displayed, but index.html do not!

Postby Byteman » 20. October 2007 15:49

Wenn I request in browser the local virtual Server http://css.pc (local at my PC under Win XP)
the Home Page is displayed, wenn the file be named as index.php.
Wenn I change the file name into index.html or index.htm, diplayed the Message:
"Access forbidden!
There is no Index-Dokument or the directory is not writeable.
Error 403.

css.pc
10/20/07 16:26:34
Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.3".

Here is the piece of httpd-vhosts.conf:
Code: Select all
<VirtualHost 127.0.0.11:80>
    ServerAdmin webmaster@css.pc
    DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs/www_test/css.pc/"
    ServerName css.pc
    ServerAlias www.css.pc
    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm
</VirtualHost>

Where is the Problem?
Which file exact in this case content definition that only index.php as index file is and not any other?
And which exact instructions in this file to do this?

New instalation of XAMPP is not wanted, while under XAMPP works now more as dozend virtual websites under MySQL using.

Sory for my bad english.

Hier ist ein Ausschnitt aus https-vhosts.conf:

Diese IP "gibt es nicht".

Du willst namebased VHosts definieren und keine IP basierende.

No.
The namebased vhosts works!
I.e. http://css.pc/index.html is displayed.
Or also http://css.pc wenn I change the name of the file index.html into index.php.

Was nun: Englisch oder deutsch? ...

The namebased vhosts works!

Namebased vhosts is not problem in my case: wenn I write in browser URL as IP-adress (in my case 127.0.0.11) - results are same for 127.0.0.11 wenn the index file is not index.php (i.e. index.html or index.htm):

Access vorbiden. There is no Index-Dokument or the directory is not writeable.

The definition of the namebased virtual host "css.pc" is written in my first report above.

The file hosts has the line:
Code: Select all
127.0.0.11     css.pc www.css.pc

But the file hosts is not related to problem of displaying of directories and index files.

Seems so that the code
Code: Select all
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

in VirtualHost definition (file httpd-vhosts.conf) don't works.
Work only first directive - index.php ?
Why?

The definition of the namebased virtual host "css.pc" is written in my first report above.

Das was du gepostet hast, ist ein IP based VHost und kein namebased VHost.

The file hosts has the line:

Seems so that the code ... n VirtualHost definition (file httpd-vhosts.conf) don't works.

Poste doch bitte deine kompletten VHosts Definitionen.

OK.

Yup.

Erst noch 2 Fragen:
- Du benutzt den XAMPP also ausschliesslich local?

Code: Select all

# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file.  It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
# with ServerRoot set to "C:/xampp/apache" will be interpreted by the
# server as "C:/xampp/apache/logs/foo.log".
#
# NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
# will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
# confusion.

ThreadsPerChild 250
MaxRequestsPerChild  0

#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path.  If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
# at a local disk.  If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
# httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
#
ServerRoot "C:/xampp/apache"

[Sun Oct 21 02:16:51 2007] [error] [client 127.0.0.11] Directory index forbidden by Options directive: C:/xampp/htdocs/www_test/css.pc/

Yup.

Also z.

Code: Select all
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

definiert.
