I would like to ask lyntuan a question about Step 3 of AMPstart: run as administrator. I am being asked to give a password. I had never set a password. have tried (no) password and 2 other passwords that I have used for Apache Friends. All have not helped. I am using an internet cafe computer. Any suggestions? You must log in as adminitrator. XAMPP can not run if you are a guest user

I have tried every thing here to no avail...
making sure IIS was not running....


my apache server seems to start for a second and then stops under XAMPP-control.exe

I run
apache_start.bat and it returns:
operation attempted on something that was not a socket
when running as admin it returns:
the system can not find the path specified

So I ran
setup_xampp.bat and it returns:
Sorry but nothing to do
BUT run as admin it returns:
Can not find php cli!


I hope this makes sense to someone!
