misplaced echos on test page.

Call me really stupid but I think my Xampp is missing something. I try looking at the test page at //localhost, and I get partial functionality on the php's. Like half the program will work, and then weird bits of code are echoed. Am I missing a config file or what? I am worried upon further independent development this will effect me, though do not have the experience to find what is wrong. Here is the error code.
