Please Help Me on Xampp configuration

I am a newbi on these area ..
here me doing a project in Linux Apache Mysql and PHP
In my home me using the Windows XP as OS
I installed Xampp
I cant get the pages of Localhost and my site there
But the problem is when try to do further operations ie by connecting databases it shows errors like these
session_bug_compat_42
session_bug_compat_warn
But my code works very well in the Linux server ..
Please help me
Its urjent
because i hav to complete the project as soon as possible
