When you open one page with the second instance of FireFox, it simply transfers the url to the first.
Hence, be sure to use only one instance of FireFox when you run AMPstart with ShutdownOnClose feature.

New feature:
- Assign alias to path of document root
- Assign many alias to key website

Key website can be the name of subfolder of htdocs, or pathname which is relative to the root of AMPstart.ini (\path), in this case lowest folder name of path is used as subdomain.

Besides, subdomain can be assigned with syntax subdomain=path\to\www. Subdomains are separated with a semicolon.

For example,
website = \mywebsite\newweb,test=\mywebsite\newweb\encoded

Then we have 2 subdomains, newweb and test, corresponding url is http://localhost/newweb and http://localhost/test.

If website=\, subdomain is automatically adjusted to www. Besides, document root is still htdocs.

domain spoof

Postby Gaijin » 24. July 2007 09:24

Hi lyntuan,

Really a great piece of work!

Could I spoof my domain and put it instead of localhost in my standalone PC? I did it a long time ago, when XAMPP was installed on C:\ Now I am running it from a CF.

Thanks, G.

Yes, you edit VirtualHost in httpd-vhosts.conf and add your domain in hosts file at Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

But you can not do this on every computer that your CF is plugged in :), but AMPstart will do for you, I guess

Yes, that is exactly what I did in the past. Speaking about the CF, I did some changes in your ini file, saved it, reloaded Apache but could not notice any change. Could you please tell me where to put say domain.com ?
Thanks, G.

FAQ ...Licence

Postby ridgewood » 29. July 2007 11:35

Where would someone find a copy of the license agreement for AMPstart? Is it Open Source? Is the source code available?

AMPstart is not an open source software. Please read the software license agreement at download page.
