I know that XAMPP is not meant to be used in a production environment, but it would probably be more stable if this advice was followed.
It appears that XAMPP for Windows (1.6.2) is using Apache 2.2.4 and is using a threaded MPM, as I see this when I do http://localhost/server-info (after modifying the httpd-info.conf file to allow it):
Server Version: Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.2
Server Built: Mar 5 2007 11:23:00
Module Magic Number: 20051115:4
Hostname/port: localhost:443
Timeouts: connection: 300 keep-alive: 300
MPM Name: WinNT
MPM Information: Max Daemons: 64 Threaded: yes Forked: no
Is there a way to get out of "Threaded MPM" mode via configuration files, or is it something that is can only be changed with a recompilation of Apache?
If it can only be done with a recompilation of Apache, is it possible to get this in a future release of XAMPP?
Thanks!
