.htaccess password protect problem..

Hey, I just downloaded Xampp, and I want to get some help. I put in a .htaccess file to protect my files with a password, I get this error:

Server error!

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Look in the error.log for the exact error.

I fixed it. I set the password on the /xampp/ folder, then just copyed and passed.

You can close this now.
