Grundsatzfragen Perl-Add-On

Hallo!

Ich verwende XAMPP 1.5.5 unter Windows und habe soeben erfolgreich das Perl-Add-On installiert. Dazu habe ich zwei Grundsatzfragen:
  • Beinhaltet das Add-On eine "vollwertige" Perl-Umgebung, mit der Perl-Skripte auch unabhängig vom Apache-Server ausgeführt werden können? Mit anderen Worten: kann ich auf meine bisherige Stand-Alone-Perl-Installation verzichten?
  • In der Readme steht:
    Code: Select all
    Dokumentverzeichnis mod_perl = .\xampp\htdocs\modperl\
    Was bedeutet das? Ich habe nämlich durch Ausprobieren festgestellt, dass die mitgelieferten Beispiel-Skripte auch in anderen Verzeichnissen korrekt funktionieren.

Ja kannst du ..

Konsolen Befehlstruktur müsste aber immer auf die PERL.EXE innerhalb des XAMPPs verweisen.

Bei einer Stand-Alone Aktive-PERL Installation würde normalerweise eine PATH Folge im System aktiviert das beim XAMPP-Perl-Addon nicht vollzogen wird.

Grundsätzlich ist aber das Perl-Addon genauso wie die StandAlone Variante.

Das die Scripte innerhalb des ganzen \htdocs funktionierten hat mit dem eintrag "ExecCGI" in der httpd.conf für die <Directory> Section mit der Options Directive zutun.
