Where is MariaDB installed on macOS?

I have a problem which I articulated here (https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=78950) and here in German https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=78949).

I wanted to ask in the MariaDB-Subforum if someone could tell me where macOS stores the MariaDB-Installation and how I might check which version it is or how I can update it. Since it seems that it is a problem of different versions of MariaDB (as in the error message).
