Need help with an interesting question about the performance of servers.
There are two servers.
1) Intel Xeon e3 1270 v5 / 512Gb SSD Samsung PM871a x4 raid10 without controller
Motherboard - Fujitsy D3417-B1
Tests
Record dd if = / dev / zero of = test bs = 64k count = 16k conv = fdatasync oflag = direct
250 Mb / s
Reading dd if = test of = / dev / null bs = 1M count = 1024 iflag = direct
750 mb / s
2) Intel Xeon e3 1270 v5 / 512Gb SSD Samsung 850 Pro Series x4 raid10 without controller
Motherboard - SuperMicro X11SSL-FO
tests
Record dd if = / dev / zero of = test bs = 64k count = 16k conv = fdatasync oflag = direct
180 mb / s
Reading dd if = test of = / dev / null bs = 1M count = 1024 iflag = direct
700 mb / s
In the first configuration, disk performance is better, and as a result of the test in Bitrix performance points to 40 points higher. Also, post above shows. The idea drives in the second assembly should be better and faster, but it turns out all vice versa.
Can someone please advice, why the speed in the first case above is better? Can a motherboard or drives affect the performance?
