admin acess in mysql is not working

Apache and MySQL starts properly with the ports 8080, 3307 but when i try to access the phpmy admin , it shows the error messages below i pasted.

Cannot connect: invalid settings.

Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

Did you tell phpMyAdmin which new port it has to use?

Hi,

Yes i have changed the port 80 to 8080 for Apache ,3306 to 3307 for MySQL .So that the jobs are executing , still couldn't able to access the admin page.

I know that you have changed the MySQL Port to 3307, but did you tell that phpMyAdmin too?
