network server with mysql apache and phpmyadmin (xampp)?

Hey there,

I want to create a private server with mysql apache and phpmyadmin. The server should only be used in my network. I heard that I can also host the server via my fritzbox, but i also heard that the fritzbox hasn't enough ram. it would suffice if I can install xampp on the server. If i have to buy a server: where can i buy it and how can i install xampp on it?

Xampp does not run on a FritzBox, you need a Windows or Linux or OSX System based on an Intel CPU (or AMD). Other CPUs (like ARM etc.) are not supported by Xampp.

BUT: There are special distributions out there for Mini-PCs like Raspberry etc., they also include Apache, MySQL and PHP, but it is not Xampp (Xampp is only one distribution of many).

In a computer store, a server is nothing else than a normal computer at least with one network card.

and how can i install xampp on it?

Download the installer and execute it - same procedure as for every software.
