Where is the "ftdefs.h" file located?

Postby Ziarok » 06. February 2015 03:14

I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere.. Where is the "ftdefs.h" file located in XAMPP? Does it even exist? I need to go into it and change something for FULLTEXT searching.

In the MySQL manual
Code: Select all
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/fulltext-fine-tuning.html
it says to go to "storage/myisam/ftdefs.h", but this directory doesn't exist within XAMPP.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nowhere. This is part of the source code of MySQL, you have to compile MySQL on yourself if you want to adapt changes in ftdefs.h

Xampp is already fully compiled and does not deliver source code.

Hey, ftdefs.h file doesn't exist because XAMPP doesn't give the MySQL source code. It is already compiled.
You'll have to download MySQL separately and then you'll be able to find ftdefs.h.
