mysql start up issues & phpMyAdmin corrupted innoDB tables

Postby rgaDawg » 13. January 2023 21:48

Win11, Pro on Dell 4820 WorkStation, XAMPP v8.1.12 & v8.2.0.

Sorry, double posted in the hopes that the phpMyAdmin folks can look at this issue. Thanks

This problem for me has gone through XAMPP v8.1.12 & XAMPP v8.20 and would be nice to get some fix to it.
It seems that my previous version of XAMPP 8.1.6 did not have these problems.

Either mysql -- shuts down unexpectedly, or even when starting phpmyadmin has problems with its innoDB tables.

I have isolated an issue with the > C:\xampp\mysql\data\phpmyadmin\*.* tables that cause mysql start up problems (at least on my XAMPP installations). If I restore the virgin > C:\xampp\mysql\data\phpmyadmin\*.* [/b ]tables (dated 10-21-2022 for XAMPP v8.2.0), then no start up issues with mysql. Without restoring those files, even when I get a start up with mysql, phyMyAdmin shows errors with those tables and phpMyAdmin cannot correct via Operations > Create. Of course you will lose all personalized settings for phpMyAdmin. Oh, well.

phpMyAdmin error message
The phpMyAdmin storage is not completely configured ..

Hello this is Gulshan Negi
Well, you need to verify that PHP and Apache are operating properly in XAMPP. Both the XAMPP Control Panel and the error logs in the XAMPP installation directory can be used to check to see if either PHP or Apache is responding appropriately.
Hope it will work.
Thanks
