Zend Optimizer STOPED WORKING

Hi,

Can any one help out? I am running FreeBSD, and I installed Zend Optimizer 3.3.9. I downloaded the tar.gz file from the website, then moved it to /usr/port/distfiles/, then unpacked it. Then I have added the following to my php.ini:

zend_extension = /usr/ports/distfiles/ZendOptimizer/ZendOptimizer.so

Initially when I loaded <? php info> it did show me that Zend Optimizer was installed, although an application which required Zend Optimizer still showed me the "Zend Optimizer Not Installed" error. So I kept on looking for problems, and not when I run <? php info> it no long shows that Zend Optimizer is installed. I tried to change everything back (I only changed the single line above with the path to the .so file), but still can't get it back to work...

It has been killing me for 3 days now, can anyone help out??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
