Can I create a ftp user account?

Postby aj123cd » 17. September 2009 06:31

I need to create a ftp user account using php. Is it possible?

The main idea is when users register to my site, it automatically creates them a ftp account.

Any ideas?

thank U.

Hi
Yes, I want to.
Say if user registers with username and password.
Then user can login in to ftp site using same username and details in to ftp user access account.
Thanks.

How to invoke DOS commands from a ftp script? I have a requirement to know the status of the transfer of a file after invoking the FTP script from a command file. If I need to do this through SFTP (scp script), I would use SHELL command of DOS to invoke some kind of command for my checking purpose. But usage of SHELL does not seem to be permitted in FTP script. What else can be done to get back the return code of the file transmission.
