Vhost configuration documentation?

Postby coldje » 11. January 2021 05:34

I'm confused about whether the virtual host configuration goes in the /opt/xampp/etc/extra/httpd-ssl.conf file or the /opt/xampp/etc/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf file?
Right now I have it in both and neither is working.

Technically, it doesn't matter in which file it is placed. The only reason for those different files is to give the user some sort of orientation and possibility to organize the settings.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

If neither is working, you have errors in your configuration. Unfortunately, "neither is working" is a very poor description of what Is going on.

Thank you, that helps. You're right, it's not a good description. I need to keep reading and playing with it a bit more before I can create a better question.

For my cases, the web server allow users to show all loaded configurations files loaded.

For my cases (LAMP stack) i use "httpd" terminal utility. The detail cmd is "httpd -t -D DUMP_INCLUDES"

Perhaps you can find your equivalent terminal utility for your XAMPP. This is a very essential administration tasks
