reverseproxy context -> contextless application

Hello everyone,

we run a Apache 2.4 as reverse proxy to connect to different java appliactions by one domain:
ProxyPass app1/ ajp://1.2.3.4:8009/app1
ProxyPass app2/ ajp://1.2.3.5:8109/app2

Now we have a application that runs on a own server without context.
http://1.2.3.6/

Can I can configure the Apache that I call this application with a context?
ProxyPass app3/ http://1.2.3.6/

Why not? Did you run a test? Anyway, i dont understand what is meant by "context"?? What context??
