DocumentRoot auf URL Pfad ... must be a Directory ...

Postby indianer4711 » 19. November 2009 16:54

Hello,

I guess this problem is well know but I did't found the solution. I would like to set DocumentRoot to our fileserver:
The web-server has Windows 2003 as OS.

httpd.conf :
DocumentRoot \\fileserver/raid$/bla
<Directory "\\fileserver/raid$/bla/">

Error:
C:\Documents and Settings\admkarsch\Desktop>"C:\Program Files\Apache Software Fo
undation\Apache2.2\bin\httpd.exe" -w -n "Apache2.2" -k start
Syntax error on line 177 of C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.
2/conf/httpd.conf:
DocumentRoot must be a directory
Note the errors or messages above, and press the <ESC> key to exit. 0....

Any Idea?

Thank you, Richard

You must always use forward slashs in the Apache config files.
