Apache chrooted

I'm running apache 2.2.4 chrooted. I tried to activate hostname lookup, but it doesn't work. Does anybody know, what exactly apache needs to proceed a hostname lookup? All libs apache is linked at are located in the chroot and the webservice is running fine so far. Just the hostname lookup doesn't work....

Yesterday I solved the problem using strace. The missing lib was "/lib/libnss_dns.so.2".
