index.php statt auf htdocs an anderen Ort ablegen

Ich möchte meine Website, die ich mit localhost teste, bei mir am Rechner an einer anderen Stelle ablegen.

Auf ein Unterverzeichnis umzulenken also auf htdocs/pages habe ich geschafft, indem ich die ursprüngliche index.php angepasst habe,
also statt "dashboard" den Ordner "pages" angegeben habe, also so:

Was du möchtest:
Den Speicherort auf Verzeichnis-/Dateiebene ändern (Stichwort: DocumentRoot)
Dies ist nicht über die index.php Änderung möglich.

Schau hierzu in deine \xampp\apache\conf\httpd.conf
Hier gibt es zwei Stellen, die auf /xampp/htdocs/ verweisen. Diese musst du ändern.
Nach Änderung der Apache Konfiguration muss der Apache Prozess neugestartet werden.

Wenn du das Dashboard weiterhin benötigst, könntest du stattdessen auch über einen Alias oder VirtualHost gehen.

Und jetzt erhalte ich nach stoppen und starten von apache beim eintippen von localhost im Browser:

Normalerweise nicht. Die Zugriffsregeln werden durch den <Directory> Block definiert.
Zeige uns mal bitte die Einträge im Apache access.log. Die letzten 20 Zeilen zeitnah bei Fehlerauftritt sollten reichen.

ABER wie gelange ich zur Umlenkung auf
"F:/pages"

Mit absoluter Sicherheit schon mal nicht, wenn man

DocumentRoot "G:/jfit"

definiert. Das ist ja total daneben.

Also vergessen wir den F:/pages Käse, gehen wir von G:/jfit aus. Bei Laufwerksbuchstaben sind einige Dinge zu beachten:

1) Worauf verweist dieser Buchstabe? Also was ist G:?

2) Wenn G: ein Netzlaufwerk ist (beispielsweise entweder ein NAS, oder auch eine Freigabe eines anderen PCs im Netz), dann ist die Frage, für welchen User das der Laufwerksbuchstabe ist. Denn die Laufwerksbuchstaben gelten immer nur für den aktuell am Netzwerk angemeldeten User. Und bei Xampp kann man Apache als Dienst starten, der vom System USER ausgeübt wird, aber Deine Freigaben und Laufwerksbuchstaben gelten nur für DEINE UserID, nicht für System.

Das ist also alles nicht so ganz einfach, mit welchen User Daten betreibst Du Apache?

Zunächst mal war es wirklich Quatsch mit den pages auf F: , ich hab jetzt wirklich das Verzeichnis nach G:\jfit gelegt! Gut erkannt!

1) Es ist eine externe Festplatte, die ständig an meinem Rechner hier zu hause hängt, an dem nur ich mich als user anmelde und die Platte bekommt beim Anmelden auch immer brav den Buchstaben G.

2) Unter welchem User Apache läuft? Gute Frage, habe auf Windows10 installiert! ich starte per Hand mit klick auf nen link auf xampp-control.exe und dann bei Apache auf den Button starten.
Ok, im Taskmanager sieht es nach mir und nicht system oder so, bei Benutzername steht juerg.
juerg bei xampp-control.exe und juerg auch bei httpd.exe, (wobei mein Anmeldename in Windows10 eigentlich juergenfranz@yahoo.com ist? aber zumindest taucht juerg auch in C:\Benutzer auf)

So unspannend sind die garnicht. Daran kann man zum Beispiel sehen, dass per HTTP Zugegriffen wird und schon auf der obersten Ebene der Zugriff verweigert wird.
Das schließt ein paar mögliche Fehlerursachen schonmal aus.

Leider bedeutet das aber auch, dass wir nochmal zum Anfang zurück müssen.
Überprüfe bitte deine httpd.conf Datei, dass die Pfade im DocumentRoot und <Directory> korrekt angegeben sind. (Kopiere im zweifel deine httpd.conf einfach hier hinein, dann können wir die mal schnell auch auf sonstige Fehler überprüfen)
Überprüfe ob der Pfad auf deiner Festplatte auch wirklich so existiert (Buchstabendreher, etc.)
Überprüfe, ob der Apache die Konfigurationsänderung auch wirklich übernommen hat, z.B. über den Apache CLI command httpd -S (in der XAMPP Shell command eingeben)
Starte Apache vorsichtshalber nochmal neu.
Überprüfe ob sich in deinem DocumentRoot eine index-Datei befindet (index.php oder index.html für gewöhnlich) oder stelle sicher, dass Apache ansonsten ein Directory Listing ausgibt

EInfach als Text hier rein. Die erlaubte Zeichenanzahl sollte groß genug sein, dass du die gesamte Datei einfügen kannst.
Um es von anderem Text abzugrenzen kannst du das auch gerne mit Code- oder Quote-BBTags umrahmen

Ok, also überprüft hatte ich natürlich, index.php war schon da! HAbs nochmal gecheckt, Verhalten mit der Fehlermeldung bleibt.

Hoppla, ich sehe gerade das hier:

Du hast die Konfiguration für VirtualHosts aktiviert. Wenn da auch nur ein einziger VirtualHost definiert ist, ist die ganze Einstellung für den Main Server aus httpd.conf für die Katz. Kommentiere das mal sicherheitshalber aus.

In meiner Testumgebung funktioniert es sofort mit deiner Konfiguration.
Angenommen, alles was hier geschrieben wurde stimmt, ist die einzige unbekannte der Ordner und Dateiinhalt des Ordners G:\jfit
Es wäre durchaus möglich, dass der HTTP Error 403 durch eine .htaccess oder Scriptbasiert von PHP gefeuert wird.
Um das zu testen leere den gesamten Ordner mal und lege da etwas ganz simples rein, zum Beispiel eine index.php die nur ein <h1>Hello World</h1> ausgibt.

Dann liegt das Problem irgendwo vergraben, was wir nicht wissen.
Vielleicht hast du noch irgendwo etwas geändert, ohne dass dir das derzeit bewusst ist.

Ich würde vorschlagen ganz von vorne zu beginnen. Also XAMPP komplett neu in G:\Portable Programme\xampp\ installieren,
ausschließlich die Änderungen des DocumentRoot und <Directory> Pfades in der httpd.conf vornehmen
und im Verzeichnis G:\jfit eine triviale Datei legen (am besten den Ordner ganz neu anlegen).
So hat das bei mir funktioniert. Und erst dann kann man von dort aus weitermachen.

Ok, also überprüft hatte ich natürlich, index.php war schon da! HAbs nochmal gecheckt, Verhalten mit der Fehlermeldung bleibt.

Und was ist, wenn die index.php nicht da ist? Kommt dann ein Listing oder ein Fehler?
