localhost

Ich gebe httP://localhost im meinen Firefox 3.8 Browser ein -> er kann nichts finden. Die Eingabe 127.0.0.1 statt localhost funktioniert!
Ich gebe dasselbe im Safari-Browser. Hier funktioniert es taddellos (Beide Einträge).
In meiner Host-Datei ist localhost als 127.0.0.1 definiert!
Ist Firefox nicht für Apache geeignet?
