curl aktivieren / activate curl

After reading all (!) posts here about activating curl within Xampp, i was not able to start xampp with.
And yes, i edited the correct php.ini.
And yes, i (tried) to start Xampp again .....

Finally the solution was: xampp 1.6.6 seems to have a problem with the control panel.
The server did NOT start again.
Even trying to stop and start inside the XP-control panel did not help.

Had to open the task manager and kill apache manually.
Started again (via xp control panel) the apache - e viola now averything is running.

Weired - looks like a bug in the xamp control panel (maybe this is already solved with the latest version 1.6.7).

Kurze Übersetzung für diejenigen die unbedingt Xampp betreiben müssen aber kein Englisch können und zu faul sind das Wörterbuch zu nehmen:

nachdem alle hier im Forum besprochenen Lösungen zur Aktivierung von curl keine Hilfe brachten, musste ich den Apache via Taskmanager (XP) beenden und in der XP-Systemsteuerung neu starten.

Scheint ein Bug in der von mir verwendeten Xamppversion 1.6.6 zu sein da der Apache via dem Xampp Controlpanel NICHT zu beenden/starten ist.
