Memory usage adds up during https session

I got the following problem. I am running the latest xampp version on a Windows 2003 Server. After a while the memory usage of apache.exe rises up until apache crashes.

e.g. I do a simply refresh and the used memory for apache adds up.
And this happens only if the connections go through https
with http this does not occur....

Please help me
