Apache HTTP Server hat ein Problem festgestellt ....

Hallo,
ich versuche zum ersten Mal, Typo3 4.0.4 auf meinem lokalen Rechner unter VMware und Windows/XP zu installieren. Dabei nutze ich die Video-Anleitung von Galileo mit Thomas Kötter als Instruktor.
Bisher habe ich Folgendes getan:
1. lokalen Webserver installiert (XAMPP 1.5.5 von apachefriends)
2. Typo3 4.0.4 Source und Dummy-Paket nach htdocs entpackt
3. 123-Installation und anschliessend Konfiguration wie
empfohlen
4. Im Backend: a. Extension mininews installiert
b. Extension ve_guestbook installiert

5. Beim Anlegen einer Seite vom Typ Gästebuch meldet sich apache mit folgender Fehlermeldung:
Apache HTTP Server hat ein Problem festgestellt und muss beendet werden... Verbindung abgebrochen!!??

In dem Log kann ich keinen Fehler ausmachen, deshalb wäre ich über jede Hilfe froh. Danke also schon mal im Voraus!
