phpmyadmin problem :(

i downloaded and installed XAMPP for linux (LAMPP) v. 1.7.4. and I have problem with phpMyAdmin , it wont start , it only display "Existing configuration file (./config.inc.php) is not readable." error
PS i'm on ubuntu 10.10
any ideas how to handle the problem???

I think you did not install XAMPP as described here: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html#377

Then the config.inc.php is owned by your user instead of nobody (with mode 0600) and thus not readable by the webserver which runs as nobody.
