netbeans + mysql how?

Postby gunkaragoz » 20. August 2009 10:53

i'm using netbeans editor for my php files. i'm a new user of netbeans, but not xammp.

i have my sql file imported by phpmyadmin. now i want to integrate it to netbeans. actually i don't know what it does :) but i think it's allowing to alter sth in db. i habe installed netbeans php and mysql plugins. mysql plugin asks for these values:

host:
port:
database:
user name:
password:

i think host should be "localhost" the others are also ok. but what is port? or how can i learn the port? thx.

Great choice :D

much more than this. You can execute most of the SQL-commands you need (e.g. make a SELECT on your Datatable to proof, if the php-SQL-Table has done what you wanted to). Don't wanna miss it any more.

localhost is correct, if it's your local Server. Standard-MySQL Port is 3306.

Have fun :D
