Datenbank in anderen Ordner auslagern

Irgendwelche Probleme mit XAMPP für Linux? Dann ist hier genau der richtige Ort um nachzufragen.

Hallo alle zusammen,

habe mal wieder eine Frage. Seit kurzem befasse ich mich mit Linux (CentOS5) und habe sogar erfolgreich lampp installiert und eingerichtet. jetzt wollte ich die datenbanken auslagern in einen anderen Ordner, aber funzt nicht.

Folgenden weg habe ich gewählt:
- Stop lampp
- edit my.cnf
- start lampp

Aber er greift immernoch auf den Originalordner und nicht in den neuen zu. Habe ich was übersehen, was ich noch ändern muss ?

Vielleicht das falsche my.cnf geändert? Oder oder oder ... bei den mageren Infos wird nicht viel zusammenkommen.

ok ist ein Argument. Dann hier mehr Infos:

geändert wurde die my.cnf im Ordner: /opt/lampp/etc/ und zwar das:

leider blieb das ohne Erfolg. Mysql startet zwar aber er greift immernoch auf die ursprünglichen DB's zu.

Wie deutlich zu lesen ist, wird innodb gar nicht benutzt.
Geändert werden muß "datadir = ...".

Da ich "datadir" nicht finden kann, weiss ich nicht, wo ich es ändern sollte. Hier mal meine my.cnf :

dann schreib's halt rein:

Das hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass es sooooo einfach ist. Da merkt man halt die fehlende Erfahrung. Aber ich arbeite daran.
