use php 8.1.17 on last version

XAMPP for OS X 8.0.28, 8.1.17 & 8.2.4

I am using the very lat version but its running php 8.2 , I want to use php 8.1 only , ho can I do thatt?
where are the settings to change php version ?

Download an older Xampp release. You cannot "set" the PHP version by any setting, it is fixed given by the Xampp release.

Its a weird question, do you know any software where you simply can "set' the version via any setting? For a different release you always have to download a different file.

with MAMP I can choose any php version fro 5.7 to 8.2 easily, but it comes with a very old mysql version , it's the only reason why I installed XAMPP

I totally agree, but you will find lots of users here which always want to run newest PHP. I also dont get why, but when Bitnami does not provide newest of the newest, some users complain and get angry. Thats how it is.

a very small % of users want php 8.2 , or they will try it and see by their own that no actual CMS is working with 8.2, anyway a simple switch version would be useful as it is on any CPanel or NOC server, or even MAMP

XAMPP version: 8.1.17. works for me anyway ...
