Gettext not working on Xampp 8.1.6

Hi all,

Gettext is enabled in PHP as I can see it clear via phpinfo but Apache/PHP doesn't parse at all the gettext strings.
This is on a Mac with M1 pro chipset if it matters.

Same code on iMac with intel processor and also in Linux works perfect.
Logs not throwing anything.
Is there anyone else with same problem and or a solution or how on earth to troubleshoot this?
