xamp-osx cannot be opened.

Hi there.
I have just now installed xamp on my iMac. When I attempted to open the app I got a message informing me:-
"xamp-osx-8.1.67-0vm.app can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information".

This must be a new "feature" of OSX. I have a 2015 copy of an iMac and am running macOS Monterey, version 12.6 with the usual bells and whistles. Also I have 24 GB of DDR3 memory plus external disc drives.

Your OS does not allow you to install this type of product. Go to settings to change it
